BMW of Manhattan refuses to replace my brakes under extended maintenance because the car wasn't driven enough. They feel that the rust on the rotors contributed to the early demise of the rotors. BMW of North America (a.k.a. vatkens) sides with the dealer, stating that 2240 miles/year driving is "under-driving" the car, and BMW will not replace the rotors/pads on the car, even though they are the original ones that came on the car (4 yrs old with 29455 miles on them). Am I screwed? Seems ridiculous to me. |

You should go back and tell them that you are interested in buying a 7 series fully loaded, but the quality of the service isn't up to par. Now, if they changed out your brakes, you would consider doing business with them.

Did they tell you how many miles per year would be considered as 'normal-drive' ?
