That article also talks about an X5 spin off known as the V5. Never heard about a V5 before. I'm guessing that the X6 will take the place of the X5 4.8 and 4.6is? Or maybe that's what the V5 is for?

Or maybe that's what the V5 is for? | I don't think the X6 will replace the 4.6/4.8, but I heard that the X6 platform will have a real ///M offering...some have speculated with a 612hp V10.
And the last I heard the V series was labeled as a "multi-purpose vehicle" (read: [not-so-mini] van) concept.
Please note that this is mostly speculation on my part...BMW's been remarkable tight-lipped about these projects, and they're certainly not sharing anything special with me.
