Is anybody aware which firmware version the iDrive sat nav runs on? It is seriously ugly to look at! My e46 has the older Professional sat nav system which I upgraded to v27 and it looks great. The fonts are smooth and fade in and out, the vehicle indicator is beveled and rounded, the icons for petrol and restaurants are smooth bold and clean and the newer car I have with sat nav looks hideous in comparison. Its really unsmooth and the fonts are awful.
Does the iDrive use the same mk4 DVD nav system as the setup on my e46?
Can I just upgrade the firmware to a newer version and is this a different upgrade for idrive than the older version?
I'd really appreciate some input on this. BMW took a huge step backward with the appearance and functionality of sat nav on iDrive, I cant even display map and directions split screen anymore! What is going on!?
