well i've never driven an smg before.just wanna ask:
do smg cars stall if it is in gear at 0 mph? if u're stopping from 20mph do you have to change the gear (example 2nd) to neutral or just leave it there?
how do you hold the car uphill? is it like just leave it in gear 1 like D in automatic? can the car hold itself uphill without pressing the brake pedal or handbrake?
do you have to lift up the gas pedal when pressing the + ?
hehe sorry for my grammar.

Never. Don't have to but you can if you want.
With the brake. In that regard, yes. Yes.

Quote: | do smg cars stall if it is in gear at 0 mph? | No, never - the clutch will release automatically when stopping. It won't even stall at higher speeds, as the SMG will downshift automatically if the RPM get too low for a particular gear (even in manual mode).

It' will behave exactly like a MT car, unless there's an anti-rollback feature like with the 650i where you would use the pedal brake only.

Try to lift the pedal shortly AFTER changing the gear. Otherwise it could get quite jerky, but after all it's a matter of practice and experience.

Quote: | how do you hold the car uphill? | You can pull back on the left-paddle (-) for a few seconds and it will not roll backwards when you release the brakes in anticipation of moving forward.
