BMW Group vehicle sales in November were up down 3.6% when compared to last November. YTD sales for the first 11 months of 2006 were up a razor thin 0.7%.
November sales of the X Series were down 28.0% when compared to November, 2005 while car sales were up only 2.2%.
Sales of the BMW brand were down 4.5% when compared to last November.
Total November Mercedes-Benz sales of 22,079 units represents a 20.8% increase from last November when 18,284 units were sold. 2006 YTD sales for MB are also up 13.9%. MB sales this year would have been much lower save for introduction of the R Class late in 2005 and the GL Class in 2006.
Please note that I only report the United States sales data.

FDMeloan:
How are your figures compiled compared to these: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/02/b...november-2006/
Which shows BMW Group –3.6% at 25,889 (11/05: 26,844) compared to last year?
Not trying to start an argument, just curious.

Pedal2Floor:
The website you reference reported the sales totals for the "BMW Brand" and for the "BMW Group" which I do as well. Our sales reports give the same numbers for the same items. I suspect that they get their information from the same source that I do, namely the press releases issued by all the manufacturers at the end of the sales month.
I trust this answers your concern.
