Price: What's the real deal on my new 335i order?

I make a deal with the Internet Sales Manger in a Los Angeles dealership for $1200 over invoice on a custom order 335i. I take the qoute home, do the math, and his price comes up $1760 over dealer invoice, $560 more than he promised. Additionally, it looks like they are trying to hide an additional $100 bucks on top of my registration.

Very frustrating as this is the second qoute in as many days with the bait and switch.

Anyway, I am not going to settle for anything but the deal I was promised. Assuming I get it, is $1,200 over TRUE dealer invoice, is that a good deal?

Thanks - would love to hear from anyone in the know and especially BMW sales people on this.

His invoice probably includes MACO and BMW training fee. If it made you feel better, you could have him email you a pdf image of his wholesale.

What's MACO? Is the MACO and training fee waived for stubborn buyers?

Tell the dealer to shove the MACO up his arse and that WE will charge him a training fee to train his dumb**** dealers who don't know sh1t about BMWs.

Centers have no control over being invoiced for MACO or training fee. And if you looked up the wholesale/retail sheets, you'll see plainly that BMW does indeed bill for training fee.

MACO is basically BMW billing centers for marketing and advertising in various markets. Again, it's a hard fee and not removable from the invoice. And, no, TDT, I will not shove the MACO or training fee anywhere. It goes to BMW whether anyone likes it or not.

Doing my research, the MACO and training fees are ligit. I renegotiated my deal to $1000 over invoice with floor mats plus the $560 MACO/Training fee.

I got one offer after the deal from another dealer for $800 over invoice, but it wasn't worth hassel for the $200 at that point to cancel my order and start over.

I am very pleased with the deal I have at this point.
