I drive my dads old bmw 528i from 1988. The radio doesn't even turn on; is there some code that I have to use to get the radio to work/turn on? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I believe you can pull the radio out, look at the serial # on the back, call your local bmw dealership and get the code. I think you may need proof of ownership though.
