So if I were to order an E93 now (allocation goes into BMW in mid-May), my dealer says the car would be delivered to me (in Cleveland) in 6 to 8 weeks from that point (mid-late July). Does anyone know when the car would be available at the factory if I were to do European Delivery? (I know it takes another 6-8 weeks to get it home after I visit Munich)... but I'm asking when it would be available for me to make the trip to Germany if the allocation went in during mid-May. Thanks for any ideas. Doug |

I believe ED does NOT come out of allocation so it depends on when you place the order. I would guess no more than 3-4 weeks.
Also note that if you are leasing you will pay for a month or two that you won't have the car (I am not a fan of leasing since I keep my cars for a loooooong time!)

The car might be ready but you won't be able to get a slot for ED in that amount of time. I think e93 euro deliveries are booked out well in advance. You might want to check the ED board for specifics.
If you lease, BMW does waive the second payment.

The way I understand it the car is manufactured well ahead of time (so you don't waist your trip) but the number of 'delivery slots' available is the bottleneck.
