Garage Lifts
Does anyone have one of these or do you know anyone who has one? It would make it much easier to work on your car...am I dreaming here? http://www.americanautomotiveequipme...s-p/ss7000.htm | | Reply » Garage Lifts | Not really. Most of the oned like these lift by the wheels only, so any suspension, brake..etc. work is out of the question.

I think most people opt for the same lift you'd find in a shop, a two post lift similar to this one:

There are a few people here who have lifts - pinecone and johnlew come to mind.

That defeats the purpose for a lift used primarily for working on cars, but is ok for occasional use if parking is a bigger concern. I'd kill for another parking spot, but my ceiling isn't tall enough.
