I just bought my wife a new 328xi. I am reading about the ignition lock. It states that when you remove the remote control, the electric steering wheel lock engages. Does this mean that the steering wheel can't be used if somebody broke in and hot-wired it? Is this something new? Does that mean I no longer need to the "The Club"?  Thanks |

The electronics on a new BMW will stop all but the most serious theft. The true pro wouldn't be stopped by anything including your club.

I saw a video of someone sawing though a club....took less than 10 sec. Toss that hunk of steel out, you'll save weight and gain some speed
