after I replaced my 2 prong bosch spark plugs with BKR6EQUP (4 prong) the car started to misfire and the service eng. soon light came on. I put back the old plugs and the car runs fine. I went to BMW and asked what were the recommend plugs and they said is was the NGK BKR6EQUP. I again installed the BKR6EQUP plug and the car is misfiring again. ANY SUGGESTIONS? thanks in advance! |

I have a 98 528i. I had replaced my plugs with NKG BKR6EQUP 4 months ago and I have no issues at all. Have you checked the threads on the new plugs? You may have damaged a plug during installation. That's all I can think of becuase you mention that if you switch back to the old ones, the car runs fine.
