This is actaully a two part question:
1. Would I be considered a poser if I removed my 330i (ZHP Model) trunk badge and installed one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M...agen ameZWDVW
It would obviously be stupid to put on M3 badge on there, but since its has (///M) on the wheels, steering wheel, I think it would look nice.
2. What is the PROPER way to de-badge / install a badge
Thank you very much in advance.

If you already have ///M other places then you have already committed to being a poser. Whats one more thing.

You're going to get a lot of heated responses to this so be ready .
Personally I wouldn't do it but it's your ride and if it's something you want to do go nuts .
Those that would be impressed won't be fooled and those that would be fooled wouldn't be impressed.
I know you aren't trying to say you have an M3 but most people who see your car will think you are.

As a general rule, "//M" should not be on your trunklid unless the third character of your VIN is an "S". The only exceptions to this rule happened 20+ years ago when some special non-M cars came from the factory with "//M" badges in front of their model designation.
With any model sold in the US since, say, 1987, if the VIN doesn't start with "WBS", no "//M".

Quote: If you already have ///M other places then you have already committed to being a poser. Whats one more thing. | I think he's referring to all of the small "//M"s that are on the steering wheel, rims, etc from the factory on a ZHP.

I think it would look tacky.
