As the not very proud owner of a 2001 330i, I need an engine. To broaden the search pool, which other Bimmers have an engine that could be swapped into where my broken engine currently resides? I am looking for direct bolt in sort of thing, with no or minimal mods to the car.

Oh yeah, the current engine has less than 71K miles, and has two broken camshafts (yes, Two - NFI how in the heck the other broke after the first one went).

Any tips, ideas of where to look etc would be appreciated.
