I have never leased a car before, but because we always purchase preowned ( centified and under warranty) every couple of years we are considering the option to leasing a new or preowned (something either a year or 2 old still certified). Has anyone had experience or knowledge in this matter?

No experience leasing a pre-owned car, but I would think that you probably won't get that good of a deal because money factors will likely be higher and residuals lower, which will make your payment go up. Why not look into taking over a lease? Car will still have warranty and service included. Check out swapalease.com, or if you're looking for almost new E60 530i go to the E60 forum. Someone there is looking to get out of their lease.
