To the ones on the southwest coast,
It's the perfect weekend!
Bimmerfest on Saturday and vintage BMW racing on sunday!
The british extravaganza in quickly becoming one of the biggest vintage races on the west coast......basically you have the monterey historics, Scca historic weekend at laguna, The del mar race in SD and British Extravaganza at buttonwillow.
Easily one of the biggest VARA races of the year. Looks like this year there is a record race entrys so expect big fields of angry vintage cars. The event is sponsored by famed Moss Motors. There is also a British car show that attracts lots of beautiful and unique cars. Also more and more every year the event is gathering speed as period dress event sort of like goodwood! The are prizes this year for most authentic period costume!
Naturally the BMW field will be huge! Expect to see at least 10+ 2002's racing in a few categories and probably Shawn essex in his fast 3.0cs and maybe even Cuffy Crabbe in his incredible groupe2 CSL. The Brecht BMW superfast historic 2002's should be there as well!
It's a short drive over from santa barbara (nice drive on a nice road I hear) if you went to bimmerfest the day before.
