I sent a Fest member a "518i" badge for his 540i. He was happy with the re-badging.

Personal taste and preference...
I had a 540i top of the line...in my year...etc...but I chose to debadge because I like the cleaner look w/o the numbers on it. I also liked to be a tad more steallth.
Also..once you learn more about your car...you cant hide it if its a lower model etc. Personal preference really.
