Sticky Throttle Pedal
Hi Forum,
New to Bimmerfest.
(I have posted this thread in the E36 page but ~I havent had much of a result so I was wondering if you guys can help!)
I have recently started having some problems with my throttle pedal. It seems as if something is stopping the pedal from moving, but after some persistence and a little bit of force the pedal moves and gives me much needed revs!
I can deal with it as I know how to gently tap the pedal to get the 'obstruction' to clear but my wife is clearly not happy with it.
So I saw behind the pedal and removed some little stones that have collected at the bottom of the over the last few months, but that has not sorted it at all. The problem is still there.
Is there anything that you guys recommend. I do not mind getting my hands dirty, but I need advice and preferably some schematic diagrams to aid me.
Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. | Do a search on Sticky Pedal. Awhile ago this was a common problem and BMW came up with a FIX. I had the problem on my 01 330ci. Good luck cheers vern

But, now that it is really cold, i probably should have used a light weight hinge oil instead of the teflon dry lube.

Very different in design and execution.
