has anyone bought a car from a government car auction? such as seized vehicles from people that owe $$ to the government.
i am looking to buy a second car for fun, on a limited budget and would love a s2000... i've seen websites that claim they are government car auctions having s2000s for cheeeeap... let me know if anyone has had experiences, or have stories, thanks.

Never bought a vehicle but have bought land. Once you get through the paperwork jungle there are some good deals. Check for liens.

I sold enough to recoup my original investment plus some and kept the rest to build on. Overall paperwork and gov't bs takes about 20 hrs per lot.
Friend of mine bought lots in Lehigh for 700 bucks a few years back. Taxes were another 3 or 4 hundred. He sold them last year at the height of the frenzy for 40k each.
