My BMW has a scratch on the door of the little comparment below the dash shown in the attached pic. Is it possible to fix or hide this defect?
If this is not repairable do you guys know where I would be able to by a new door to replace this one?

I assume the trim piece is molded plastic? If it is and it is black, you can probably cover it up very well with a fine-tipped black Sharpie pen. The ink is fairly permanent and offers a cheap solution to your problem.

You can buy the whole compartment from the dealer (the door and the cubby behind it). The price will be around $75.

To remove the old one, I think you just stick your hands on the inside walls, and push them out / pull towards you. It's been a while since I removed mine, so check with your dealer first.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try the sharpie and maybe buy a new part from the dealer.
