 1989 325i electrical problem

I just bought a 1989 325i 2 door, and the radio, clock, tach, and interior lights are not working. I checked all the fuses in the engine compartment and they are fine. I then brought it to the dealer here in Anchorage (Alaska) and they said I needed a new radio and clock and tach. I bought a new radio (Alpine CDA 9857) and new clock, but they still do not work! When I run a hot wire from the + battery terminal to the hot memory connection of the radio it works fine, but of course that does not help the clock or tach, or interior lights. I was wondering if it could be a relay problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks,

Reaper in AK
