I'm going to Spartanburg, SC in a couple of weeks for the one day school. Has anyone else been? Any tips on what to bring or do? I'm definitely a novice in performance driving.

Not sure which course you are going to but, I'm going to the Feb. 3 & 4, 2007, 2 day (Non-M) school. Maybe we will be there together.
I arrive Friday the 2nd evening by air, leaving Sunday evening.
If you are going to my course PM me and we can dicuss.
I have been e-mailing with Donnie (instructor) at the center and he said get a good night sleep and "be ready to have a blast."
Looking forward to it.
