synthetic oil
I have been told by the bmw dealer where i had my car last serviced (2002 330ci) that i don't need to have an oil change (synthetic) for another 15k miles....can this possibly be true????

Thats what it states. However its best to do it every 3-5k miles.

It is NOT best to do it too often. Check the posts, you can actually have MORE wear by changing your oil too often.
That was right back many years ago with conventional oils, but not with modern synthetics.
