 non-run flats kickoff computer warning??

I was asking a service person at the dealer about mounting and balancing the winter tires I'm purchasing from Tirerack.com (Dunlop Winter Sport M3). They seem to make these tires in run-flat but in not in my size. In an email he said:

"Your car has run flats and your new tires will not that could leave a tire message all the time ."

Has anyone installed non-run-flat tires and gotten a persistent error message? Please help.

WTF does that even mean?

The M3 are runflat, the M2 are non-runflat from what I was told. And the non-runflat will not trip the computer, the warning has to do with the rolling diameter of the wheel and tire through the ABS system. If you change a tire/rim size it will come on but all you need to do is callibrate it according to the manuals directions for the new combo and you will not get the warning unless something happens.
Hope that helps!

He seemed to mean:

'Your new car has run flats. If your new tires do not, then you could get a tire message all the time.'
