New To BMW - Why is this car better then an Acura TL?

Hello To All,

Let me start by saying that I am a long fan of BMW designs and have read many articles on how well the car handles and that it is the current benchmark in its class.....
I have owned 3 Hondas in my life and like them because of the value I feel that I get with the car.....Since the new E90 came out I have been in love with the design of the car....I recently visited an Acura Dealer and looked at the TL....I test drove it and really enjoin the power and felt it is a good value now that I can get it at or below invoice around $30K....The only thing that can come close to low $30's is a 325i which I think would satisfy me......can someone here let me know why they choose their cars over the competition since I am sure that I am not the only one here with the same decision...please keep in mind that I understand that the BMW is rear wheel drive and the TL is front wheel Drive.....one more thing I am looking to Lease the car so If there are others that have leased please let me know what are the typical payments on this car....

1)Go to bmwusa.com and build your car and calculate the payments that is the easiest way to figure it out (remember that will not include taxes and fees).
2) Go drive the cars
3) If you do not understand the difference after driving them buy the Acura!

I don't own an E90, but I can tell you why I own a BMW and not an Acura...

Drive the BMW. After the test drive, it will remove all doubt.

Have you driven a 330 yet?

If you already test drove the 330 and can't say why it is better, then get the TL. If you haven't test driven the 330, you might want to just buy the TL since you seem to be satisfied with it, because if you drive the 330, you will probably understand why it is more money and will pay the extra few grand.

For me, I will say that the 330 is just a better car all around:

Styling
Fun to drive factor
Seats
Ergonomics
Transmission (Shifting)
Exhaust sounds incredible
Full Maintenance
Stereo

For the TL, the positives:

Reliability
Price
6 CD changer in dash
Navigation is more user friendly
Roomier

But if he doesn’t know the difference (or why one is better than the other) then why ruin it for him?? Ignorance is a bliss!! And it will save him money. Knowledge is not power, but rather (in the case of BMW) it will cost you money... and I don't mean the first 325. It will start from 325 and 3 upsteps/upgrades later, you are paying twice as much as the original 325 and payiong/driving the BMW M.
