Ticking sound in the Driver Side B pillar

I just got my E90 330i re-delivered to me after prancing around Germany and Austria this past August.

Soon after I took delivery in Munich I heard a barely perceptible ticking sound in the driver side B pillar. After driving it for another two weeks on my home turf the sound is still there. I am curious if anyone else hears the same sound and if so did you get it fixed?

Same thing in my '04 E46 Sedan. Some say there is a 'fix', and some say it never goes away.
