For those of you who had a 2003 thru 2005 330i and now have switched over to a new E90 330i, How does the Steering compare for you. is it Heavier or Lighter, Faster or slower, more or less feedback. Please give all your opinions. The 2003 thru 2005 E46 330i had a Steering ratio of 13.7:1 with 3.0 turns from lock to lock. the new 2006 E90 330i has a Steering Ratio of 16.0: with 3.0 turns from lock to lock. also lets compare just the normal steering setups, not the Active Steering.

I had a 2001 330i and now a 2006 330i....both sport paks. (no active steering)
The 2006 has heavier steering. As far as faster or slower.....hmmm...I'd say the same.

In my case, it's heavier due to the 18" SP wheels. On center feel is a little sloppier than the E46. Response and feel is the same. Yes, turning radius is longer.

I think somewhat heavier...but smoother. Overall, an improvement and really quite sweet.
