Hi everyone,
Good news,
picked up my 330i last night .. the car is just awesome! Came from
a 2005 TL aspec and theirs no comparison.

Bad news,
the car has swirl marks all over! I have the graphite color and the fine
scratches are just atrocious. I asked the salesperson about the
swirls and he tried to feed my some BS that it was just polish and that
the detailer can wipe it out easily. So he calls the detailer and he
attempts to add more polish to try and cover up the scratches, but
it didn't work.
The salesperson asked me to come back another day so that the
detailers can use a buffer to fix it.

So here's my question, should i let them try and 'fix' it, even though it's
not a permanent fix .. Or should I demand a different car?

The swirls are very noticeable. My co-worker even noticed them w/o
me even mentioning anything to him.

thanks!

Congrats!!! The swirls really are a downer though. I would get them to buff it out and if its not perfect I would complain. You didnt pay for a E90 with perma swirls in the graphite . You paid for a pristine E90. Otherwise congrats and good luck with the new car!!

I would not accept a new car with the kind of swirls you mention. In my opinion, that's not what you ordered, a New 330i with Swirls? No way!

Refuse Delivery and don't let them talk you into accepting this. They can find someone else to buy this car.

hmm thats not good!

I bet the newbie detailer did that! i wouldnt trust to have them fix it, they may even screw it up even more!

if you havent paid for it in full, ie, waiting for the loan check, take it back immediately and walk out!

with enough pacifying, they may give you some goodies, ie, spoilers, chrome pipes, mats etc.

you need to work the issue and cry like a b*t*h!

cry like you never did before, it is your last chance!
otherwise ! goodbye ! we got your money!

I'm in the Washington, D.C. area and considering a new E91 325xiT. Please let us know the BMW dealer that sold you the car so we can avoid them.

When I got my last new BMW I told the dealer not to clean the car prior to delivery. When I sold it this summer it had zero swirl marks.
