Ordered my E91 3 weeks ago and TODAY BMW call me to tell me they're not offering aluminium any more. Can't believe it. So crappy plasticky titanium it is. Woeful |

Understand your frustration, but I wouldn't knock Titanium too much - although we know it's plastic, it looks like metal (everyone who's been in my car say's "I like the metal trim"!) and it has 3 big advantages over Alluminium
1) it's free 2) it doesn't look like someones been over it with a brillo pad (as alluminium does) 3) if you opt for a sports steering wheel, you get titanium infill whereas the alluminium trim leaves the wheel with black plastic

Woeful | Thats bizarre. Does this apply to the E90 as well? Looks like my early E90's alu trim will make it quite unique in a few years if that is the case. Did they give a reason?

Thanks E91, hope you're right. The titanium bits on the sports wheel (which I have ordered) did seem nicer than the black ones in the brochure.
They didn't give a reason, just said it was no longer available. Didn't say if it was territory specific either (dealers tend not to know or care about much outside their own area of course) but I assume it applies to the UK E90 as well at the very least.

Hey choddo, I had to suck it up and get Tit. Mat instead of Walnut...but I had Tit Matte in my E46 and it really is quite nice. And it will save you some "quid". Or in Canada $585.00!!

I wish you could get the piano black trim without having to do BMW individual prog.
Titan isn't too bad! Maybe you can find someone to swap with.
