Prior to pick-up of 2006 330xi: anything I should tell the dealer to do?
As I anxiously await the arrival of my 2006 330xi (I'm guessing by mid-October; it's currently somewhere between Baltimore, MD and Charleston, SC...), I am wondering if there is anything I should tell the dealer I want done before taking possession of the car. When I had a 330 (two cars ago), there were a number of things only the dealer could program (like automatic locking of the doors when moved out of park....) that they would later charge you for. I'm guessing that with the iDrive (which I will have) most of these things can be set by me. Just curious if there are, in fact, programming or other things I should make sure get done before I drive the car away. Bump.
I too am expecting delivery mid-October. I'd be interested in hearing what others suggest. I don't even know the extent of what can be programmed for the E90. I did, however, note to my CA that I did not want my front bumper drilled for plates.

Thanks! | I'm not really answering your question about what to do, but from reading the owners manual you can program many, many functions with idrive. That is a huge plus - you can set everything as you want for each remote.

I'm still kicking myself in the ass over that.
