I have a very similar car and highly recommend the BT, it is worth it. The phone goes right into the iDrive and the voice command works well. Also I have not tried it but if you use the iDrive and find a restaurant or something in info you can dial the place through the BT and your phone. I will be testing this when I get my car redelivered. Best of luck! OH AND MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT A CAR THAT DOES NOT HAVE XENONS IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ORDER THEM, THE HALOGENS ARE NON-PROJECTOR AND LOOK DIFFERENT!! AND IT IS A FORTUNE TO CHANGE LATER, THE $800 IS A STEAL!

I'm going to agree - BMW Assist is worth it for the bluetooth alone! And yes, xenon headlamps very very nice...

It works great with Bluetooth enabled telephones. I haven't had much use for the Assist but the Voice Command and Bluetooth were very good investments. I like the Xenons a lot but don't know if they are a must have. Definitley safer on back roads at night though.
