 A/C & Ventilation Went Out!

It happened yesterday as I was getting off work. The AC was on. Suddenly, I felt alot of warm air. The air got hotter until it was at max heat. I tried pressing the heat button used to heat the car when your parked, I tried messing with the hot/cold switch between the vents but nothing worked, just really hot air. The air was coming from the top-sides of the dash vents, the ones used to defrost the door windows. No air(hot or cold) would come from the normal vents facing me. If I have the system on at all(no matter what setting) the hot air would blow.

Went to the dealer this morning, but since they were out of loaner cars until next Monday, I have to drive around like this until then. I'm kinda dissapointed(I've never had any problems with my old cars) that this happened, but I realize that BMW's strength is geared more to the chassis and engine, and this being a first year car. I really hope this isn't the start of more problems. Fingers & Toes CROSSED!!

My E90 cooling to leaves alot to be desired. my AC works. but i thnk these E90 are inheritly not very good in their cooling and venting systems. Seem like i need to have my AC to really feel cool inside.

My other car, Honda Accord vent system is very cool even without the AC on.

Any other members feel the same way, or is it just me, should i bring it to the dealer too?

I drove the car today at lunch and it worked. Everything was back to normal. But now I'm thinking when this will happen again.

I do think the ac system is not as strong as the one in my honda, and it's louder as well.
