Sorry if off topic: i've used peoplefirst.com in the past with success - which site\bank has the best rates for new auto loans?

Capital One Auto Finance is the best. *www.capitaloneautofinance.com * (I think)
If you own a house I would recommend that you take out a Home Equity Loan. The interest is 100% tax deductible and therefore you will get 1/3 of it back every year. Because of this it just doesn't make sense to me not to use a Home Equity Loan to pay off an auto loan, assuming you own a home.

You can try lendingtree.com. Different banks give you their decisions. When you're shopping for an auto loan you can go to many banks and it wont hurt your credit score if it's within 7-10 days. I'm not too sure about the number of days. About a week to about 10 days if I remember correctly.

I told them that it was a matter of principle but they already had their chance to give me their best and they blew it.
