Using an iPod in the E90?

As far as I can tell from BMW and Apple branded websites, the E90 does not currently support the 'ipodyourbmw' technology. Am I missing something? Did they actually remove this feature from 06 models? I know there is a MP3 jack in the glovebox, but that does not allow charging or direct playlist access, correct? Is there any plan to add it back?

In the U.S. BMW only supports iBus cars for iPod integration at this point. MOST vehicles are not supported and it does not look like BMW will announce MOST support in the U.S. anytime soon.

Third party companies such as Dension may beat BMW to this in MOST support.

no! yu r ryte! it does not allow charging or direct playlist access.

I have to get a car-charger separate on mine, and I just lay the ipod on the console to advance fwd to the next song.

I know is a P.I.T.A. expecially not being able to see clearly your playlist.

Have you checked out the Dension ICE Link? From what I have researched, it is a pretty clean solution that would work much better than what you are doing now.

Only ICE link Lite is available for E90. So you can't control you iPod with the radio and the buttons on the steering wheel.

Dension ICE Link Lite
Installation

And in Europe an original iPod interface is available now. With this one you can control it by your steering wheel. But it's not cheap. 450 Euro with installation.

As I posted earlier, Dension (with its ice>Link product) may very well beat BMW in iPod support for MOST. This is NOT available now however.
