Hello all,
I was able to get my new 330i (manual/stick) to sync with my razr phone - no problem. Does the 330 w/o idrive have the voice command system - can i dial a person by saying the name or does this require that you have idrive. I cannot find anything in the owners manual (its in the owners manual for idrive posted on this site, so that is why i suspect you need i drive for this feature).

Thansk for your thoughts. | You can actually voice dial entries and numbers without iDrive. For voice dialing by name, you first need to save separate voice entries . Just press that speaker button thingee on the steering wheel, and say, "Save Name" after the beep prompt and follow the directions. After saving the name, you can press that button again, and say, "Dial Name" and follow the prompts. Numbers can be dialed by the "Dial number" command.

thanks for the information - are instructions included anywhere in the number of books we received at delivery - i cannot find anything - all i see is a voice commands section in the manual for e90's with idrive?

There is a seperate phone manual. It has a picture of a Euro phone booth on the front cover.

So BMW sent me the phone manual in pdf - if everyone thinks it would be helpful i could post it to the site (perhaps someone can tell me how to do this). In any event, I do not see any mention in that manual of voice commands. I have a motorola raz3 phone and voice dialing is part of that phone. i assume i am NOT accessing this voice system, but that that car has a separate voice recognition - correct?
