 Newbie with a problem

Hello everyone.

After 24 hours with this amazing car, my Electric Red 330i manual has a problem. The fuel door won't open. I read the manual several times and followed the proceedure for unlocking the doors, it didn't open when I touched it. I think I tried everything, (soft touch, hard touch, different combinations of unlocking the doors, the emergency manual release and finally the SOS button) it won't open. I did a search on "fuel door" and didn't find anything. It is going to the dealer for the state inspection sticker tomorrow so hopefully they can fix it while I wait. Has this happened to others? If so, what ws the cause? Otherwise, I love the thing.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Bill

Had a problem on an older car when i had locked the doors and tried to unlock the gas door. Then the lock never released until I managed to hold it in while again locking the car and then unlocking the car.

But get the dealer to fix it if that doesn't work.

Update,

The door is fixed. Something called the fuel door spring buffer had to be replaced. This pushes the door out when you touch it. Anyway, it was a quick fix. I am just concerned that when this part fails, the emergency manual override doesn't open the door either.

Thanks for the response Commander.
