Was wondering if anyone had the same problem? I lowered the rear windows today and they wouldnt come up? Drove straight to the dealer and after an hour they said it might be a computer issue and told me to leave it for service. 2006 325I |

My 325 did the same after a week, dealer said they would check the software, after an hour or so, got it back and have not had any problems in the past two months. Just as a note, mine occured right after I had the windows tinted. I later read on this forum sometimes when they put the tint on, the rubber lining of the windows gets jammed down somehow and this causes the window to think there is an obstruction. Anyway, whatever the cause, no problems since.

my windows got stuck before, it happened after I got my windows tinted, it wasn't a computer problem in my case...
everytime i tired to roll the window up you could hear the motor try to do it and then give up...under closer inspection i saw the rubber lining for the window did not match what the front windows looked like...the rubber lining was stuck downwards instead of up against the window, so when the window rolled up the rubber made it stay down..
it was evening by then and had no time to take it in for service...so I just took some old sunglasses that had soft rubber pieces for the ears and just ran it along the window to pry up the rubber pieces...after that all windows rolled back up as normal...no scratches, no damages, happy happy...

My windows, including the front ones, got stuck once. I tried everything from turning off the car and letting it sit for 10 minutes and using the remote to continue to open them all the way. Nothing worked and I was very frustrated because there was a storm coming. I had to put garbage bags taped over all four windows and before I was finished, it began raining. The rear seats and carpets got wet. I jumped in the car and put the key back in and tried it one more time and this time they worked. It must've been about 30-40 minutes of the car being off before they decided to go up. Not sure if it was a computer issue or a window sensor issue, but I was worried. I'll report it to the dealer when I take it in for service although they won't be able to make it happen again there and therefore there will be no fix. Oh well.
