Aluminium Vs. Walnut
I Am Geting Saphire With Black Leather Interior And Am Going Back And Forth On Whether To Get Walnut Or Aluminium. What Have Others Done, Especially With Black Interior?

What Have Others Done, Especially With Black Interior? | had a similar dillemma. i initially settled on Monaco Blue with beige interior and walnut trim. but was told that the car with my specs (premium, sport, bmw assist, blue tooth) didn't exist in toronto, so i would have to order from Germany and wait for 2-3 months. beyond that, there is a wood trim shortage and there is/was no guarantee that i would get the walnut. my alternate choice was black sapphire with aluminum (worlds apart i know) and they had it in stock. i now have the car i wanted. and i love it.
here's another way to look at it. if you love john woo, jerry bruckheimer, & quentin tarantino movies, gow with black and aluminum.
if you love woody allen, hitchcock, or (other-tradional-filmmaker-goes here), go for the wood.
in a nutshell, if you want something modern and contemporary, go for the aluminum. if you want traditional and executive-type, go for wood.
either way, you'll have a phenomenal driving experience. it's just a matter of how you want to experience it. both are great choices. it's just personal preference.
but be warned that there may be a delay because of a wood supplier problem, depending on the options you choose.
hope this helps. good luck.

The walnut looks great, and the various aluminum parts (handles, gearshift, and maybe pedals) set it off nicely. I got the walnut.

Walnut | I was going to get the aluminum with my black interior (because in pictures it always seemed to look better), but when I went to test drive, I saw in person, and I thought that the burl walnut looked much nicer with the black leather... the aluminum looked as if it would be very easy to get (and forever show) scratches...
