 Unbelievable

Some guy in N. California Bay Area posted on Edmunds that he's getting an offer of about 1000 below invoice (invoice about 41K and just over 44K OTD) on a fully-optioned 330.

He was posting to ask people if it was a good deal.

Then today, he tells the dealer that he has to think about it and will get back to the dealer on Monday.

Talk about missing the boat.

Any serious buyer would have jumped at the deal by now.

Why? Perhaps it's what the market will bear.

As far as I know there's no plans to stop making these cars... j/k

I'm not questioning if that's what the market will bear. Apparently, it will since he got the deal.

By any chance, you wouldn't know what dealership he's going through? I'll be in the market here shortly.

Thanks,
Chris

There is no way that deal is legit. The guy is most likely a liar trying to stir things up. We can't get enough cars... we are SOLD OUT. 85% are still selling before they ever reach the dealership... and when they make it... they never last a week. I call BS!

No problem.

I was just remarking on the general ethos of car dealers/manufacturers to create a false sense of urgency (BUY NOW! WHILE THEY LAST!) when at the same time they are making the cars as fast as the can.

I have no problem with dealers getting all that they can for a car; after all they're all independent business people that obtain their goods from a common source at a (more or less) similar price.
