i've had my car for less than a month and my car has already developed numerous rattles throughout the cabin. i've tried to be patient but i think i'm up to the point of taking it to the dealer for nothing else other than rattles. but before that i just want to see if any other owners are experiencing any of these:
1) seatbelt (b-pillar) clicking - both driver and passanger side. this appears to be quite common and my temporary fix right now is by jamming a piece of nicely folded paper between the black seatbelt and the gray housing.
2) steering wheel / gauge cluster area rattle. i first thought it was from the gauge cluster but upon closer inspection, i noticed that the cracking noise was coming from small movements of the steering wheel. when stopped, nudging the steering wheel left and right will create a cracking noise.
3) center of dash, near the the top vent/speaker, windshield area. on rougher roads, this area makes an audible buzz (most noticeable when driving over the little reflectors on top of freeway lane dividers)
4) somewhere from the rear..i think the headliner. on larger bumps, it rattles like something is loose. i've used my hand to press on the rear panels and headliners but couldn't find anything.
i understand that most cars do have some noises here and there but i've only had this car for a few weeks and my expectations are higher for a $40K car (my previous car rattled like crazy but it was a 10 yr old vw). anyone input is appreciated, thanks guys
