Whichever you like. Whichever meets your needs. Whichever you can afford. Whichever.
Personally, I'd rather have a new 330i over a new (even) 5-series, even if they were the same price.

yeah, the 5 series is too big for me. I don't need a huge sedan.
If you want a small even sportier sedan, get the 3 series.
If you want a less sporty larger sedan, get the 5.
