problems with my e90?
hey guys, i just picked up my car from the dealer earlier today after doing an ED(european delivery), and when i got it home, i noticed a few strange things wrong with the vehicle. after installing my bluetooth phone, i made some calls. everything worked fine, phone book, i dialed, they answered, i heard them speak, but for some reason the other person could not her me speak. i thought maybe it was a fluke, hung up, and then called someone else. everything was fine but when i talked, the other person could not hear me. i thought maybe something was on mute or something was wrong, but i played with all the options, and nothing seems to fix this.. i figured hey ill go to the dealer tomorrow get it looked at.. then after locking my car, i noticed that the red light on the rear view mirror does not blink or flash or anything. now, i was very confused. im guessing that these two things could be related, and that maybe its a blown fuse that covers both of them? everything else seems to be working fine.. i really dont know what to do and its kind of upsetting me. i guess ill try to go to my dealer tomorrow, but unfortunately, tomorrow is my salesmens day off. anyone have any ideas or suggestions? anything would be GREATLY appreciated. | | Reply » problems with my e90? | Theyīre probably not related. The red light on the mirror noramlly only flashes if you have the alarm. The alarm is not available from the factory but only as a dealer retrofit. If you didnīt order it specifically, the dealer would not have fitted it.
But I believe the flashing light can be programmed by the dealer wether there is an alram or not. But itīs not standard to have it flashing when no alarm is installed.
So so far you only seem to have a problem with the mic of the bt kit
| | Reply » problems with my e90? | realllyyyyy???? it doesnt normally flash? thats odd, i own 3 BMW's (now 4) and on all of them, the red light flashes. granted this is my first 3 series, but still, i would think that it normally flashes anyway, since in the manual it states that whenever you lock your car, the light should flash....?
| | Reply » problems with my e90? | Nope, clown nose only flashes when alarm is installed. Like the previous post said though, a dealer can set it to flash without the alarm, but they will charge you to program it.

Rattling noise from the dashboard. Rattling noise from center console near by the CD player. Rattling noise nearby passenger seat belt. Rattling noise from rear right passenger head rest. Gas door will not pop out.
Called the dealer 3 days after I picked up my car and have to wait for two weeks to get it in cause they don't have any loaner. After the service, they only fixed 3 out the 5 problems I mentioned. The noise is still driving me crazy. Anybody experiencing similar problems?
