 Sounds Specs...Translation

This was posted on E90post a while ago. I want to do some "upgrades" to my hifi sound system, but I don't understand german... Could someone translate it for me?

the german stuff doesnt really tell you that much.
Pretty much everything you need to know is there in the numbers. speaker sizes and resistance ratings for each speaker (ohms) are what is important.

My German is a little weak, but I think Breitbandlautsprecher means 'to eat monkey butt.'

Hey bhunter1972
You are doing a Nov 18th pick up - Will be interesting to see the Mystic Blue next to the Monaco Blue
What time are you going to be picking up?

Time? TIME!?!?

I definitely plan on being there on Nov. 18th, but as I haven't even bought my plane tickets yet, arranging my time for pickup still isn't on the radar. Guess I should do that, huh? I definitely want to go in the morning. That way I'll have the whole day to oggle my car and play with all the nifty features.

Remember, Turpiwa, I'm expecting you to bring Vegemite! Don't leave me hanging with dry toast in my hand!

Brian

P.S. Breitbandlautsprecher does not mean 'to eat monkey butt.' It was rude of me to suggest otherwise, and I sincerely regret the misinformation. I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.

Close but not quite. It means full range speaker

Leistung=Power
max. Schalldruck= maximum sound pressure
Bandbreite=Range
Linearität=Linearity
Zentrallbasslautsprecher= Central Bass speaker (subwoofer)
Mitteltonlautsprecher=Mid range speaker
Hochtonlautsprecher= Tweater
Breibandlautsprecher=Full range speaker
Hersteller= manufacturer
Zusatzverstärker= additional amplifier (external amplifier)

stereo:
is the system you don´t get in the US. It´s a basic setup for the rest of the world that is powered solely by the radio and has only front and rear full range speakers and small subs under the seats

Hifi:
Is the standard system on the US 325 with 10 speakers via an external amp

Top-Hifi
Is the Logic 7 system (optional on the US 325, standard on the 330). 13 speakers via digital processing and an external amp

The passage at the bottom means:

The enclosures of the subwoofers (under the seat) are identical in all three configurations (stereo, Hifi and Top-Hifi). They are identical in shape, material and acoustical coupling to the doorsills. The subwoofer of the stereo system (base system) is mounted with an adaptor ring in the enclosure beacuse of his smaller diameter.

Could somebody maybe stick this info somewhere ?
