 Spare Tire for the E90

Well, in the midst of a wheel debate with my E90. I really want to go with 162's, but dont like the idea of having to go out and buy the 162's and performance tires, then another set of winter rims and tires. So here is what I was thinking... (aka feel free to respond as to your thoughts). Keep in mind, I have also just bought a house and have a few other expenses, so just spending money carelessly on my car is not really an option.

Buy a set of 162's from the dealer (unless someone wants to make me a decent offer ). Buy Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S tires for year round use. There are very few times when I need to be out and about in the snow/wintry mix, but I cant go all winter on summer tires...

Tires:

I would also have to get a spare tire being as there are no Ultra High Performance All-Season RF's...

Where can I find a spare for the E90? I know I saw some floating around a while back, but cant locate them...

What do you think of this combination? Right now its what Im tossing around....

Where are you putting the spare? I thought the car was designed without a place for it.

first off, don't buy the 162's from the dealer...I'm sure there are a bunch of people either on bimmerfest or e90post that are selling them. there is also a website that is selling stocks cheaper than the dealer if you want brand new. don't remember what it is, but you can do a search for that.

if you have the car already, then you still have the stock rims, right? you can just use one of those as your spare.

Jspira, you are correct, there is no space for the the spare. you will have to just place the donut in your trunk. they have ones for the M3's since the recent ones come with run flats and no spare.

I really don't care for the look of the stock rims on the 330i (a bit dated and plain looking), but I actually like all the other choices. The 18's do look good with the sport package, but I thought they just looked a little oversizied and kind of odd on the standard 330i. I've not seen them in person, but only the pictures posted on the fourms. Have you considered the 17" rim that comes with the 325i? IMO the 16's and 17's that come with the 325i look really good. The 18's on the 330 sport are definately my favorites, but like you, I have other considerations that stopped me from getting the sport package. I would rather have the 17's on my 325i, but I can live with the 16's very easily. Just something else for you to chew on. Might save you some money too.

Try this link for good prices on 162s:

As it turns out this site is owned by Chapman BMW of Scottsdale.

Does the price for the wheels linked above include tires as well?
