 Lease Arrangements

I just leased a 2006 330i with Sport/Performance/Cold Weather Package and Nav. I planned on putting $2500 down with a negotiated price of $45000 + a rear spoiler thrown in (MSRP 46,365 spoiler). With the first month payment and all the other fees, the total amount I was putting down to drive it away was going to be $41XX.00. However, I went in on a Saturday to do the deal and the dealer had to go through a bank rather than BMW Financial Services. With US Bank doing the lease, I only had to pay $33XX.00!!!! Just thought you guys should know you may be better off not going with leasing through BMW.

That's interesting. What else changed with the new amount? Did your monthly change or your lease end fees? I guess what I'm wondering is where did the $800 go? Was this a fee charged by BMWFS and not US Bank or did US Bank roll it into the lease payment?

It was next to impossible to get all the info out of dealer. I knew more about the features of the car than the salesperson did, and this was at a reputable dealer in the area. BMW charges "a fee" to initiate the lease. My lease payment stayed the same. Sticker price was 46,365, negotiated price was 45,000 + rear spoiler thrown in, residual price of ~28,000, 2500 down (3300 due at signing) and monthly payment of $727. I don't think it was a great deal, but the car had everything I wanted on it

I downloaded a Lease calculator from the Aska Dealer Forum a little while ago - I've attached it here.
I plugged in your numbers and I got
3164 due at signing
664 per month
.00299 MF - current BMWFS rate
60% residual

ANy comments on the accuracy of those numbers from the calculator would be appreciated.

Damn - can't upload it - dunno why. Anyone find it - I can't locate it - sorry
