And the base price is 35100$C, 1000$ less than a TSX and 5100$ less than a 325i

Cruise control is a 590$ option with on-steering controls.

It's interesting to note that BMW (I assume it is BMW) exerts sufficient microeconomic control to the extent that it can predict future prices. My understanding was that Canadians get a wider range of options, including Individual, which can have a marked effect on saleability in the used market. Do they not take specification, condition or use into account? Or are these figures merely starting points for the inevitable horse-trade with the financier?

I think we get the same limited, tightly controlled types of options as the US. As far as I know Individual is not easily available, or at least not marketed at all. I am sure that , like the US, somebody with enough money and a large deposit could find a dealer to get one in - but that is the same as you guys.

The stock / optional features in Canada are a bit different from the US, however you are still limited pretty much to the packages and a few a-la-carte features:

CANADIAN OPTIONS for a 325i - $40,300 base

Sport Package (Seats, Wheels/Tires, Steering Wheel, Suspension) - $2800
Premium Package (Power Seats, Auto Dim Side Mirrors, Power Sunroof, Logic7) - $4300
Navigation/Idrive - $2900

Metallic Paint - $800
Walnut Burl or Aluminum Trim - $585 (Titanium Plastic is standard)
Steptronic - $1400
Active Steering - $1500
Sunroof (If not getting Premium Package) - $1500
PDC - $450
Adaptive Headlights (Xeon is Standard, this adds the turning) - $490
Telephone & BMW Assist Prep - $1100
Six-Disc CD Changer - $795
Logic7 (If not getting Premium Package) - $1200

CANADIAN OPTIONS for a 330i - $47,900 base
(Note: Sunroof, Adaptive Headlights, Power seats w/driver memory and upgraded Trim are all standard)

Sport Package (Seats, Wheels/Tires, Steering Wheel, Suspension) - $2800
Premium Package (Dakota Leather, Auto Dim Side Mirrors, Lumbar Support, Compass Mirror/Garage Door Opener, Logic7) - $4200
Navigation/Idrive - $2900

Metallic Paint - $800
Steptronic - $1400
Active Steering - $1500
Comfort Acces - $750 (note that this is not available as an option for the 325i)
PDC - $450
Telephone & BMW Assist Prep - $1100
Six-Disc CD Changer - $795
Logic7 (If not getting Premium Package) - $1200
Electric Rear / Manual Side Sunshades - $590 (not available on 325i)

GENERAL:
The Canadian 325i/330i both come standard with the 60/40 split folding seats, ski bag, heated front seats and chrome exhaust tips. One other difference is that the Canadian 4yr free scheduled maintenance plan *sucks* in Canada as compared to US, as it does not cover any wear-and-tear maintenance at all (brakes, wipers, etc).

As you can see there is about the same degree of options as the US. As far as the residual amounts, my that is what BMW uses when doing a lease - otherwise those numbers don't really matter at all. If you are doing a BMWFS Lease, those are the numbers they use, and they are not negotiable (in my experience), you can negotiate on the selling price of course, and you might be able to negotiate a tiny bit on the lease rate, but the residuals are fixed.

I ordered a 325xi on Aug 25. I got 64% residual for a 36-month lease.

Oh! but on a 20K km per year.
