Ultimate Driving Experience came to town...

Wow! This past weekend the folks from BMW came to town and set up shop at Texas Motor Speedway. I received my invitation via email about a month ago, and man was I glad I signed up. We got to do a autocross style track while behind the wheel of a E90 330i Sport Package and then do the same track with an Audi A4 and an Infiniti G35 Sedan. The stability controls on the Bimmer were turned off and the other cars were allowed to keep their controls on....but the 330i still outcornered and outperformed the other two.

Not only was driving the cars fun, but we had professional drivers in the car with us giving us tips on how to get better laps! It was a ton of fun and I can't wait until they come back to town again next year....anyone else ever done this type of thing in their neighborhood before? If it's coming to your town soon, I suggest giving it a shot- it's a great time and a chance to throw the rules of the city streets out the window for a few laps!

The only problem is that I had to get back into my non-thrilling, non-high performance car to go home.

i totally missed the events when they were here in california back in june.

i wish I could go because i am actually planning to get a G35 as my next car based on good reviews and I am almost convinced that it is a better car for the money than a 3 series.
