I see a lot of people who own 2005 3 series on this forum. So my question is: Why not wait for the 06's and pay a little more given the fact that BMW's change from the ground up every 7 YEARS? Only reason I could come up with is that the last year of the old design has had all the bugs worked out of it and is near perfect. |

The 06s are already out. Do you mean 07? Anyway, some people just want the latest and greatest. Someone has to buy them. I usually work out the bugs for other people.

Also, remember a lot of people (like me) buy 3s to serve as family transportation. The 06s are much better than the 05s from that perspective - the new car is just about as big inside as the last-generation 5 Series. Plus, there is that wonderful cubbyhole designed for diaper bags underneath the trunk floor.

some people might just prefer the older styling over the new one too... A matter of preference...

I could buy an E90, but I'm shopping for '04 ZHP 330's because it's:
- much better looking exterior (I prefer the E90 seats, and like both interiors) - lighter & faster - smaller, will fit in my garage better - cheaper!
