 (re) delivery check list

I was going to post this over in the ED forum but I decided my question might be more E90 specific so here I am.

I am picking up my 330i tomorrow from the dealer (it is finally here after my ED trip).

What should I be looking for?

Obviouly I will inspect for shipping damage. and make sure all the removable stuff like the tool kit and flashlight is still there.

make sure I have the US nav DVD.

I would also like to make sure I have the latest software upgrades, does any one know how I check for that? I was led to believe from another thread that if I hold down the I-drive knob for about 10 seconds I will get a hidden screen. Does anyone know what version of sofware they are up to?

Any thing else I should check for?

Normally I would not be quite so anal, but it turns out my dealership has really gone down the tubes since I bough my first BMW from them back in '97. I no longer trust anyone over there any further than I can throw them, so I feel like I really need to have my act togeather to compinasate.

compare current mileage with drop off mileage.

Ask dealer to give you floor mats. Dealers give floor mats to US delivery cars - doesn't hurt to ask.

This should be on the ED forum.

Check for your Zoll (customs) license plate! This presumes you left one on the car and took one home.

Question - how do you compare current mileage with drop off mileage - of course the current mileage is the mileage on the odometer - but how do you get the mileage at drop off? Thanks for the help.
