 Delay for Manual Transmission?

Today I was informed by my dealer that my planned production date was delayed by about 2 weeks due to a, "short term supply shortage with respect to one on the parts necessary for 325 and 330 manual transmission vehicles."

Has anyone else heard of this situation? I was a little surprised and disappointed to hear of a further delay in the production of my new 3.

Thanks.

Perhaps some of the manual trans parts are made from Burl Walnut?

No word on any Canadian orders regarding manual trans. I have seen a bunch of orders get pushed out from October to November, and wood trim was not included; but I did not even think to see if it was transmission related until I read this post - will look again in the morning at work.

GRR, I hope I am not affected. I ordered my car two and a half weeks ago. It still says on order on BMW OC but when I called them phone number it said it was scheduled for production with no production date yet.
