Hi Guys
Just curious to know if anyone here is pre-ordering the new 3 wagon? I received this internet quote from a local dealer, South Bay BMW:
MSRP - $41,870 Quote - $40,370 -- or $1500 off MSRP
The specs are: 5 spd, Sport, Premium and iDrive Navi
Any feedback on the price and/or experience with South Bay would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I ordered a 325xiT in July for a September build. I live in Minnesota and there are only 2 BMW dealers, so there is not much competition. I was able to get $1000 off MSRP and they threw in both carpet and rubber mats.

Congrats Frozen on your order. There doesn't seem to be too much excitement around here for the new ixt
I only recently discovered that a wagon would be better suited to my needs - I was considering the X5 but the price is a bit high - with the ixt, I can still load up my dogs, golf clubs, ski equip., and Home Depot supplies and not sacrifice the experience of driving a 3 series.
Alas I'll be trading in my 330 limosine for the 325 touring - a small sacrifice in performance exchanged for utility and practicality.

I have come to the conclusion that for me the xiT is the way to go, when I get rid of the explorer (the only car I've liked less was a ford mustang II)
Despite wanting to think I drive to the limits and need the sport suspension and tires....the reality is I don't, but I still want a fun ride.
The awd is really important, not beause I live in snow, but because I drive to snow (tahoe in california). California chain regs are a pain.....and I think only there to force people who do not know how to drive in snow..(snow = slow down! ) to slow down. It is not really practical to run full on snow tires whne they would be mostly used on non snow.
The space/practicality is important....I remember how much I missed having a wagon when I was driving a g20..... easier to put sails and such in a wagon.
As best as I can tell the EPA will be about.... 18/28 This is base on looking at the 5 series. The epa for 525/530 rwd is 20/30 and for 525xi, 530xi and 530xiT is 18/28. One person in the 5 forum reports real life of 22/26....not as good as RWD but not hugely worse.
